Browse watches and vote for the ones you genuinely love. Every vote contributes to a watch's 30-day score. Votes decay gradually over time, keeping the rankings fresh and preventing a watch from coasting on old momentum.

Think a watch deserves a place in The League? Nominate it. Search by brand and model, add a photo, and submit. The Watch League team reviews each nomination before it goes live to keep the catalogue high-quality.

Leave comments on any watch, react to what others have said, and follow members whose taste you admire. Your feed surfaces the votes, comments and nominations of the people you follow, so the app gets better the more you use it.

FAQ

Common questions

Each watch earns points from member votes over a rolling 30-day window. Older votes gradually count for less, so the rankings reflect current community taste rather than all-time totals. When two watches have the same score, the one that was most recently voted for ranks higher.
Tap the Nominate button in the app, search for the brand and model you have in mind, add a photo and any relevant details, then submit. The Watch League team reviews every nomination before it appears publicly. You'll receive a notification when your nomination is approved or if more information is needed.
Open any watch from The League or search for one you want to find. On the watch detail screen you'll see voting controls — tap to cast your vote. You can vote on as many watches as you like. You can also change your vote at any time.
Yes. Tap on any member's profile — either from a comment, a nomination, or the directory — and tap Follow. Their activity (votes, nominations and comments) will appear in your feed, and they'll be notified that you're following them.
Tap your avatar or profile icon to open your profile, then tap Edit Profile. From there you can update your display name, handle, bio, profile photo, social links and favourite brand.
Yes — completely free to download and use, with no in-app purchases or subscriptions. The Watch League is a community project built by watch enthusiasts, for watch enthusiasts.
You can delete your account from within the app via Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile, votes, nominations and all associated data. Alternatively, email us at hello@thewatchleague.app and we'll take care of it for you.

Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters

This Privacy Policy explains how Prodigal Media ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects information when you use The Watch League app ("the App") and this website. By using the App or website, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

When you create an account and use the App, we collect:

  • Account information — your email address, display name, username (handle) and profile photo.
  • Profile information — bio, links to your social media profiles, and your nominated favourite brand. This information is always optional and visible to other members.
  • Activity data — the votes, nominations, comments and follows you make within the App.
  • Device information — a push notification token (used to deliver notifications to your device). We do not collect your device's unique hardware identifier.

We do not collect payment information. The App is free and contains no in-app purchases.

How we use your information

  • To create and maintain your account.
  • To power the App's features — voting, ranking, nominations, comments and social feed.
  • To send you notifications about activity relevant to you (e.g. someone following you, a comment on a watch you nominated, ranking changes). You can manage notification preferences in the App's Settings.
  • To send our optional weekly email digest. You can unsubscribe at any time from within the App or via the link in any digest email.
  • To understand how the App is used and improve it over time (via aggregated, anonymised analytics).

Third-party services

The App and website use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

  • Firebase (Google) — authentication, database, cloud functions, file storage and push notifications. Firebase Privacy Policy.
  • Google Analytics — anonymised website analytics on thewatchleague.app. Google Privacy Policy.
  • Apple — app distribution via the App Store and delivery of push notifications via Apple Push Notification service (APNs).

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to third parties. We share data only with the service providers listed above, and only to the extent necessary to operate the App.

Your profile — including your display name, handle, profile photo, bio and social links — is visible to other members of The Watch League. Your votes, nominations and comments are also visible to other members.

Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal information, votes, nominations and comments are permanently deleted from our systems. Some anonymised, aggregated data (such as historical ranking snapshots) may be retained.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. You can update your profile at any time from within the App. To request deletion of your account and associated data, use the Settings → Account → Delete Account option in the App, or email us at hello@thewatchleague.app.

If you are in the European Economic Area, UK or California, you may have additional rights under applicable data protection law (including GDPR and CCPA). Please contact us to exercise any such rights.

Children's privacy

The Watch League is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
